THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE COLLECTION.
The Ancient Baobab Collection was inspired by Africa’s iconic baobab tree. The Baobab trees’ nickname is the “Tree of Life” because of its importance in the African ecosystem as well as its healing properties.
SOME HEALING PROPERTIES INCLUDE:
- The bark has astringent properties and has been used traditionally to alleviate colds, fevers, and influenza.
- It contains high amounts of antioxidants to help repair damage from the sun and the environment.
- It heals dry skin. “The Baobab seeds, when pressed, produce a beautiful antioxidant-rich golden oil with omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids that aid in locking in moisture even for the driest skin,” Dr. Luc Maes, Director of the Maes Center for Natural Health Care.
THE COLOUR
Our Ancient Baobab collection is a deep red colour, which reminds us of our rich African soil and our African sunsets.
The colour is intense yet very elegant and luxurious.
Red may seem to only suit certain guest bathrooms, however combined with the packaging and design, it will suit all African guest bathroom aesthetics.
THE FRAGRANCE
The fragrance in this collection is a gorgeous, deep fruity-floral with a base of sandal & musk, it really screams everything African and Baobab trees. The deep fruity floral reminds us of the red colour of the collection and the sandal and musk reminds us of the bark of the Baobab tree.
Not to mention, it is 100% unisex and was especially hand picked by the Intermarket Team to be the perfect scent.
